MP Natasa Vuckovic Elected PACE Rapporteur

Today, Natasa Vuckovic, member of the National Assembly’s standing Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, was elected PACE rapporteur for the report and resolution on preventing the introduction of undue limitations on NGOs in Europe.

The decision was passed at the meeting of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights in Paris.
On the occasion Natasa Vuckovic said: “Civil society is important for democracy, and the right of association is a fundamental human right. Therefore it is necessary to inspire and encourage the activities of civic associations, and reduce the obstacles and limitations affecting the work of NGOs. Among the Council of Europe member states, the situation differs from country to country, and the recommendations this report will undoubtedly result in will help improve standards in the area.”
