The meeting focused on the situation in and perspectives for the social and economic development of Eastern Herzegovina.
The meeting was also attended by MP Sasa Dujovic, representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Ministry of Transport, Serbian Chamber of Commerce, as well as representatives of several associations of Herzegovinians operating in Serbia.
Addressing the participants, Miodrag Linta said that the goal of the meeting is to contribute to the development of the potentials of Eastern Herzegovina and the Republic of Srpska with it.
The heads of Eastern Herzegovina municipalities and the Mayor of Trebinje opined that natural resources and their energy capacities are the area’s biggest development potential. They also briefed their hosts on the political situation in the Republic of Srpska, with a special focus on the situation in eastern Herzegovina.
The participants of the meeting exchanged opinions and initiatives on how to improve cooperation between Serbia and Eastern Herzegovina in the spheres of energy, transportation, culture, tourism and sport.
