Kosovo-Metohija Committee Members Talk to Fractal Civic Association Representatives
The members of the Committee on Kosovo-Metohija received today at the National Assembly House, representatives of the civic association Fractal to discuss the problems of the Serbian community in Kosovo-Metohija and protection of human rights.

The meeting between the Committee members and representatives of Fractal was also attended by the National Assembly Secretary General Veljko Odalovic.
Filip Pavlovic, president of Fractal’s board of directors presented the four-year project Enclavia aimed at strengthening the Serbian community’s capacities for self advocacy. The meeting with the deputies was dominated by topics significant for the daily lives of the Serbian and non-Albanian community in Kosovo-Metohija, and life in the enclaves in particular. It was concluded that the biggest problems in Kosovo-Metohija stem from the endangerment of human rights, underdevelopment of rural communities, unemployment, lack of prospects that makes young people leave Kosovo-Metohija, as well as the poor condition of healthcare, education, culture and the media. The representatives of Fractal stressed the importance of stimulating investment into small and medium enterprises, government motivation of domestic companies to initiate business in Kosovo-Metohija, as well as focus on culture and education. The Committee members and National Assembly Secretary General gave project Enclavia positive marks stressing that it is good that government and international institutions are consulted in its realisation. They said that a project like this can contribute to the unity of the Serbian people in Kosovo-Metohija in both preserving the southern province in line with international law, and solving the citizens’ basic life problems.
