Joint action in protecting the environment
A delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, comprised of members of the Environment and Water Committee, is on a three-day visit to Serbia (from 12 to 15 June) as guests of the Committee on Environmental Protection of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
A delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, comprised of members of the Environment and Water Committee, is on a three-day visit to Serbia (from 12 to 15 June) as guests of the Committee on Environmental Protection of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
During their visit, the Bulgarian guests will meet Andjelka Mihajlov, Minister of Environment in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Vojislav Jankovic, director of the state forestry management company “Srbija-Sume”, as well as Rade Sarcevic, director of the Republic Recycling Agency.
The Committees of the two parliaments will discuss the establishment of parliamentary co-operation and exchange of opinions from the field of environmental protection, as well as on implementing legislation relating to the protection of natural resources.
Special attention will be paid to joint projects the two countries are undertaking in this field, especially to the establishment of a parliamentary Eco-Forum of Balkan countries and the cross-border co-operation between the two countries in the area of environmental protection.
