The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Japan Snezana Paunovic met today with the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Japan Aleksandra Kovac.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group wished the Ambassadors good luck in the upcoming term of office, expressing confidence that she will do her job responsibly and have an impact on deepening cooperation between parliamentary friendship groups.
Paunovic said that the PFG with Japan had met with Japanese Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Takahiko Katsumata, around the middle of last month, where they discussed the improvement of parliamentary cooperation.
In the continuation of the meeting, the officials exchanged opinions on Japan’s realised and potential investments into Serbia and the upcoming Tokyo Olympic Games.
At the end of the meeting, Kovac thanked the Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group for the invitation, promising that one of her goals would be to meet with the members of Japan’s bicameral parliament.
