The Head of the National Assembly’s Parliamentary Friendship Group with Belgium, MP Dragan Tomic, met today with the Belgian Ambassador to Serbia, H.E. Alain Kundycki.
Dragan Tomic deemed the creation of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Belgium at the National Assembly vital for furthering interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries. Tomic also drew attention to the importance of intensifying economic cooperation and added that development and industrialization of agricultural production is of key importance for Serbia, and that this could be where opportunities for cooperation between Belgium and Serbia may lie.
Ambassador Kundycki declared the bilateral relations between the two countries excellent and agreed that there is room for further improvement of interparliamentary and economic cooperation. He mentioned as good example of investment into the Serbian market, that of the Belgian company Delhaize.
Kundycki stated that Belgium endorses Serbia’s European integration which is mutually significant and in the interest of both Serbia and the European Union.
