The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, Mujo Mukovic, stressed that the members of the multiethnic 22-member Group would strive to work together on boosting parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. The parliamentary initiative will promote the further development of overall relations between the two countries, as well as make it possible to raise regional cooperation to a higher level, deemed Mukovic.
Ambassador Arnaut noted that, bearing in mind the strong ties shared by the two nations, all the elements vital for furthering the relations between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are present.
In the meeting, attended by the majority of the Friendship Group’s members, it was deemed that the two parliament’s priority areas of cooperation should be fostering good-neighbourly relations between the people of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, strengthening economic cooperation and addressing the existential issues of the two countries’ people, within the frames of the Dayton Accords.
The MPs invited the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Serbia at the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to soon visit the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
