Gojkovic and Boroujerdi agreed that the relations between Serbia and Iran are developing in a positive direction and that today’s visit provides an excellent opportunity for continuation of the interparliamentary cooperation between the two countries.

Gojkovic said that she would invite the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ali Larijani to visit Serbia so as to maintain dialogue and improve relations.

Gojkovic thanked Iran for its principled stance on and support of Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Gojkovic and Boroujerdi also discussed options for promoting economic cooperation and expanding trade, as well as other modes of cooperation.
