Gojkovic Speaks to Djukanovic and Vujanovic
National Assembly Speaker Maja Gojkovic, currently in visit to Montenegro, met today with Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic and Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic to discuss cooperation in the Euro-integration process, economy and infrastructure.
In the meeting with the Montenegrin officials, Gojkovic stressed that the two countries’ relations are exceptionally good, that cooperation relating to Euro-integration is both in Serbia and Montenegro’s interest and that they share a common goal – improving their citizens’ standard of living.
Gojkovic said that the goal of the reform process the Serbian leadership is dedicated to is to improve the citizens’ standard of living.
Montenegrin Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic urged for intensifying regional cooperation, listing infrastructure, energy, food production and tourism as developmental opportunities for cooperation with Serbia.
Stressing the importance of regional development of infrastructure, Djukanovic said that the extension of the Belgrade-Budapest railway corridor to the Belgrade-Bar railway is very important as regards infrastructural development within the cooperation between China and the countries of east and central Europe.
Djukanovic stressed that infrastructural projects are long-term investments as regards strengthening cooperation in the region.
Montenegrin President Filip Vujanovic stressed that Serbia and Montenegro are one another’s most valuable strategic economic partner and urged for regional progress in the Euro-integration process.
Gojkovic had previously also met with Montenegrin Parliament Speaker Ranko Krivokapic and the members of the parliamentary friendship group with Serbia.
