Gojkovic Sends Telegrams of Condolences on Death of Ambassador Churkin

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic sent telegrams of condolences to Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin and the Chairperson of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko on the death of the Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vitaly Ivanovich Churkin.


“We were shocked by sad news of the premature death of Ambassador Vitaly Ivanovich Churkin. On the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself, please allow me to extend our most sincere condolences.

I am sure that, despite the loss, the memory of his hard work, his efforts to promote better understanding between states and peoples, and dedication to te diplomatic profession have left an indelible mark on the world of diplomacy and the people who had the opportunity to cooperate with him.

Please accept our support and convey our deepest condolences to Ambassador Churkin’s family and friends.”
