Gojkovic Sends Condolences on Attack in London

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic sent a telegram of condolences to the speakers of the UK House of Commons and House of Lords, John Bercow and Lord Fowler, on the attack in London.


“We were deeply shocked by the horrific terror attack in London and distressed by the loss of innocent lives. On the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself, please allow me to extend our deepest condolences to you and all the Members of Parliament.

The Republic of Serbia is a proponent of the right to life in safety and peace. On this sad occasion we strongly stand for solidarity and decisiveness in the defence of common civilizational values.

In these difficult times, please accept our heartfelt support and convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, with the hope that the wounded get better soon.”
