Gojkovic discussed Serbia’s Euro-integration with the French parliamentarians, emphasising Serbia’s dedication to the process and the country’s determination to continue with the economic reforms and harmonisation of the national legislation with the European, so that it would be ready for EU accession by 2020.

The National Assembly Speaker thanked France for its support of Serbia in the process of Euro-integration. Gojkovic expects that, after the opening of chapters 32 and 35, other negotiation chapters are to follow this year, which Serbia is fully ready for.

The Chairperson of the Committee for European Affairs of the National Assembly of the Republic of France Danielle Auroi hopes that more important chapters would be opened in the coming period. Auroi stressed that France supports Serbia’s path to the European Union.

Gojkovic and the French parliamentary delegation also discussed the challenges the migrant crisis poses for Europe and the relations between Serbia and France.
