Gojkovic Meets with Foreign Minister of Eritrea

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic met today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea Osman Saleh Mohammed, currently visiting Serbia.

Gojkovic stated that the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Eritrea is the first official visit since the establishment of relations between the two states and an opportunity to review options for cooperation.

Gojkovic and Saleh agreed that both are interested in continuing the dialogue and promoting relations between Serbia and Eritrea, pointing out that there is ample room for cooperation in the spheres of economy, trade, agriculture, pharmacy, defence, culture and education.

Gojkovic thanked Eritrea for its principled position on Serbia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and voting against Kosovo’s UNESCO bid, and Saleh reaffirmed Eritrea’s stance on Kosovo-Metohija.
