Gojkovic Expresses Condolences to Iranian Consultative Assembly Speaker

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Maja Gojkovic expressed condolences to the Speaker of the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Larijani on the terrorist attack on the Iranian Parliament and the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini.


The National Assembly Speaker’s telegram of condolences states:

“We were deeply shocked by the news of the terrorist attacks in Tehran targeting the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini and the Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran. On the behalf of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and myself, please allow me to extend our most sincere condolences to you, the Parliament and the friendly people of Iran.

At this challenging moment, allow me to convey a message of staunch solidarity and dedication to defend the peace from inhuman acts and the extremism that inspires them. Rest assured that we will stand firm in the defence of common civilizational values to overcome this evil and mindless violence.

Please accept our sincere support and convey our condolences to the families of the victims, and our wishes that the wounded get better soon.”
