Fourth Sitting of the Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction
At the sitting held on 9 June, the members of the Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction were presented the Disability Employment Union Platform and the results of the research into the position of persons with disabilities on the labour market.
The Platform was presented by representatives of the Youth with Disabilities Forum. Jovana Krivokapic Milovanovic, Youth with Disabilities Forum Executive, said that the Platform paves the way toward the inclusion of this target group into all social trends. Mikica Budimirovic of the Youth with Disabilities Forum said that the project both analyses the existing situation and gives appropriate recommendations. He presented the activities within the project aimed at empowering the persons with disabilities themselves and the representative organisations, as well as offering support to employers who recruit persons with disabilities. Marko Milanovic of the Youth with Disabilities Forum presented the results of the research and local-level consultations completed within the Disability Employment Union Platform.
