Foreign Affairs Committee Delegation Talks to National People’s Congress Representatives in Beijing
A delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, headed by the Committee Chairman Prof. Dr Dragoljub Micunovic, commenced its official visit to the People’s Republic of China by meeting the top representatives of the National People’s Congress, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture and the Communist Party of China.

In the meetings, both sides expressed pleasure at the recent elevation of the two countries’ relations to the level of strategic partnership, and, in light of it, pointed out the need to improve their cooperation further. They expect that the construction of the bridge on the
In the several meetings with the members of the National People’s Congress, members of the Foreign Affairs Committee and president of the Serbia-China friendship group, all agreed that parliamentary cooperation should intensified.
In the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Culture the officials gave a positive evaluation of the current programmes of cultural cooperation, stressing the vast potential the field allows for drawing the two people closer together.
Both sides expect that an exchange of visits at the highest political level, improvement of trade, joint infrastructural projects and cooperation in the spheres of culture and education shall further cooperation in the upcoming period.
