The first sitting of the Task Group for the Drafting of the Draft Law on the Serbian Immigrant Society was held on 7 June. The Task Group comprises deputies Dr Janko Veselinovic, Task Group Chairman, Milorad Buha and Aleksandar Cotric, Ministry of Finance representative Vera Radoicic Savatovic, independent advisor at the Budget Sector, Ministry of Education representative Natasa Mujagic, head of the Normative Legal Affairs Group at the Sector for Education Development and International Educational Cooperation, Ministry of Culture representative Djurdjijana Jovanovic, international cooperation and Serbs abroad coordinator at the Sector for contemporary art, culture industry and cultural relations, Ministry for the Diaspora representatives Miodrag Jaksic, State Secretary, Darinka Djuran, advisor at the Sector for Status Issues of the Diaspora and Sandra Popovic independent advisor at the Sector for cultural, scientific, educational and sporting cooperation, as well as Radivoje Dabic, president of the Serbian Immigrant Society.

The sitting was chaired by the Task Group Chairman Dr Janko Veselinovic.

The Chairman briefed the Task Group members on the reasons behind the drafting of the Draft Law on the Serbian Immigrant Society and presented the framework content plan of the future draft.

The task group members agreed to prepare written proposals and suggestions within ten days, and that representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should attend the next Task Group sitting.
