European Parliament’s Greens/EFA Parliamentary Group Visits National Assembly
MEPs of the Greens/European Free Alliance group paid a visit to the National Assembly today in the course of which they held a press conference with MP Ivan Karic and took part in the Green Forum titled “Challenges and green opportunities in the EU accession process”.
The Green Forum titled “Challenges and green opportunities in the EU accession process” was opened by MP Ivan Karic who said that all the parliamentary groups making up the National Assembly have excellent cooperation on green issues such as the potential of green jobs and economic development through green and circular economy. He highlighted the importance of combating climate change and fight for green jobs, stressing that 21st century economy can be nothing but green, that ecology is an investment in the future and that green economy could be one of the cornerstones of Serbia’s economic growth.
The participants of the Green Forum were also addressed by National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic.
