Eighth Sitting of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee

At the sitting held on 29 April 2021, the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee considered and accepted the Ministry of Defence activity information for the periods January-March 2021, October-December 2020 and July-September 2020.

Committee Chairman Aleksandar Markovic said that the Committee members fully support the President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic, as well as all the state bodies in their efforts to protect and preserve the security of the Republic of Serbia and all of its citizens. The Committee members gave a positive assessment of the professional conduct and work of the members of the Serbian Army in the achievement of their priority tasks in the reporting period and emphasised their full support for their further engagement in the realisation of key tasks.

In the course of the discussion, the representatives of the Ministry of Defence answered the Committee members’ questions and provided clarifications of the submitted activity information were needed.

According to the Committee members’ assesment, the Ministry of Defence activity information is detailed, substantive and provides a comprehensive insight into the work and results achieved by the Ministry of Defence in the reporting period.

The sitting, closed to the public, was chaired by Committee Chairman Aleksandar Markovic, and was attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: MA Djordje Kosanic, Prof. Dr Zoran Dragisic, Milovan Drecun, Dusko Tarbuk, Ugljesa Mrdic, Marijana Krajnovic, Aleksandar Mirkovic, Dragan M. Markovic, Natasa Mihailovic-Vacic, Natasa Ljubisic, Boris Bursac, Marko Parezanovic, Dijana Radovic and Justina Pupin Koscal.
