Eighth Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 17 May 2023, the members of the Culture and Information Committee considered the Report on the Supervision of Programmes of Commercial Media Service Providers for the period October 2022 – the end of March 2023 with a special focus on the reporting of violence in television programmes, submitted by the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media (REM).

The Report was presented by REM Council Deputy President Milorad Vukasinovic, and following a lengthy discussion the Committee passed, by majority vote, the Conclusion Proposal adopting said Report. The Conclusion Proposal shall be forwarded to the National Assembly with the proposal that it be considered under urgent procedure.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Sinisa Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Stasa Stojanovic, Edis Durgutovic, Nebojsa Bakarec, Branislav Josifovic, Aleksandar Jovanovic, Rozalia Okresz, Branko Vukajlovic, Dragana Miljanic, Bosko Obradovic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Dr Danijela Grujic, Milorad Bojovic, Dusan Maric, Natasa Jovanovic, Tatjana Manojlovic and Lepomir Ivkovic, as well as MP Dr Zoran Lutovac who is not member of the Committee.
