At the sitting held on 24 July, the Committee on Interethnic Relations discussed the particulars of the Bill on National Councils of National Minorities.

The deputies had submitted a total of 173 amendments to the Bill, out of which the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Committee on Interethnic Relations accepted 12. The Committee submitted two amendments of its own to article 99 and article 128 of the Bill.

In the continuation, The Committee members were briefed on the memo sent by the non-government organisations “Group 484” and “Centre of Modern Skills” and agreed to meet with a group of 30 activists from 9 Serbian towns in a sitting on 22 September 2009.

The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Miletic Mihajlovic.
