Dr Vladimir Orlic Takes Over Office of National Assembly Speaker from Ivica Dacic

Today, the former Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia and Head of the Socialist Party of Serbia Parliamentary Group Ivica Dacic handed over his duties to Dr Vladimir Orlic, the new National Assembly Speaker, elected at yesterday's Parliament session.

In the course of its first sitting, the 13th legislature of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia elected the Speaker, Deputy Speakers, Secretary General and members of the committees and standing parliamentary delegations.

Ivica Dacic congratulated the newly elected Assembly Speaker Orlic on his new responsible position and wished him success in his future work. Dacic also thanked Orlic for the cooperation achieved in the previous legislature, and expressed the expectation that, as Speaker of the Serbian Parliament, Orlic would use his ample experience and knowledge to protect Serbia’s interests and renown.
