Deputy Speaker Marinkovic Opens Constituency Office Doors to Students
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic launched the event Day at a Constituency Office.
Law and political science faculty students will be given the chance to spend a day at Deputy Speaker Marinkovic’s Constituency Office and learn first-hand how that segment of the MPs’ activities functions.
Prof. Dr Vladimir Marinkovic says that having viewed the need for this type of action from two aspects – as National Assembly Deputy Speaker and a university professor, he has decided to include students in political practice.
“I would like to, as a Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, offer young people the chance to gain first-hand knowledge of what it means to take part in political life. On the other hand, as a professor, I wanted to give the students the chance to add practice to their theoretical knowledge so as to gain a clear and comprehensive picture of political engagements”, explains Marinkovic.
The event Day at a Constituency Office will be opened by the students of the Belgrade University’s Faculty of Law on Friday, 28 November, who will be actively involved in the operation of the office and in direct contact with the citizens.
