DEPUTY COMMANDER US EUROPEAN COMMAND VISITS THE COMMITTEE ON DEFENCE AND SECURITY

The members of the Committee on Defence and Security of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia talked today to the Deputy Commander US European Command, Vice Admiral Richard K.



The members of the Committee on Defence and Security of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia talked today to the Deputy Commander US European Command, Vice Admiral Richard K. Gallagher as part of his two-day visit to the Republic of Serbia.

The Committee delegation comprising members of parliament Dragan Sormaz, Jadranko Vukovic, Mirko Djurisic and Konstantin Samofalov, was headed by the Committee Chairman, Ivica Dacic.

The Committee on Defence and Security briefed Vice Admiral Gallagher on the Committee’s activities and work, as well as on the National Assembly’s legislative activities in the field of defence and security. The Committee members particularly emphasised the need to have KFOR ensure peace and stability in Kosovo and Metohia and prevent any kind of violence against the Serbian people.

Vice Admiral Gallagher conveyed the greetings of the Commander US European Command, General Craddock, to the Committee members stressing that KFOR forces are ready to react swiftly and with power in case of violence in Kosovo and Metohia, in order to protect the citizens and ensure the stability of the region.
