Constitutional Court Judges Take Oath of Office

On Tuesday 27 July 2010, Sabahudin Tahirovic, elected Constitutional Court judge on 1 July 2010 by the National Assembly and Tomislav Stojkovic, appointed Constitutional Court judge on 6 July 2010 by the general session of the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Republic of Serbia, took the oath of office before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic.



On Tuesday 27 July 2010, Sabahudin Tahirovic, elected Constitutional Court judge on 1 July 2010 by the National Assembly and Tomislav Stojkovic, appointed Constitutional Court judge on 6 July 2010 by the general session of the Supreme Court of Cassation of the Republic of Serbia, took the oath of office before the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic.

The election and appointment of Sabahudin Tahirovic and Tomislav Stojkovic as Constitutional Court judges, completes the composition of the Constitutional Court in line with article 172 of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia.

On the occasion the NARS Speaker said “I deeply believe that the work engagement and highly professional and moral qualities of the judges taking the oath today shall contribute to the efficient operation of the Constitutional Court as an independent and autonomous state body protecting the constitutionality and legality and human and minority rights and freedoms”.

The oath taking ceremony was attended by the President of the Constitutional Court Bosa Nenadic, Vice-President of the Supreme Court of Cassation Snezana Zivkovic and Nebojsa Cirjakovic, member of the State Prosecutors Council.
