Considering that information is an important segment in the maintenance and strengthening of ties between the mother country and its people living abroad, that continuous communication between the mother country and the diaspora and Serbs in the region is a vital prerequisite for mutual help and understanding, the role the national media play in keeping us informed on the status of the diaspora and Serbs in the region is just as important as the role of the media of the diaspora and Serbs in the region in sharing information on the situation in the mother country.

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Media, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Directorate for Cooperation with the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region were invited and confirmed their participation, as were representatives of media in Serbia and Serbian media in the region (news editors, newspaper editors-in-chief and agency directors) dealing with information on the status of the diaspora and Serbs in the region and information of Serbs in the Region and the diaspora on the situation in the mother country.
