Brnabic Visits Weizmann Institute near Tel Aviv
The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, visited the Weizmann Institute in the Israeli city of Rehovot near Tel Aviv tonight, whose buildings were hit in an Iranian missile attack in mid-June.
Representatives of the institute showed the Speaker of the Serbian Parliament the demolished buildings, one of which housed a modern laboratory that, they said, was supposed to open in November.
The Weizmann Institute was founded by the first president of Israel, prominent scientist Chaim Weizmann, and is considered one of the most important scientific centres in Israel.
Serbian National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabic arrived in Israel this afternoon, where she will meet with state officials during a visit that will last until 9 July.
Brnabic will meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana.
