Brnabic Meets with Swiss Ambassador to Serbia

The Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Ana Brnabic, met today with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Serbia Anne Lugon-Moulin.

This was the Speaker’s first meeting with Lugon-Moulin since she took up her duties as Ambassador. The Parliament Speaker wished her good luck and pointed out that the doors of the National Assembly are wide open for any form of cooperation.

Brnabic informed Lugon-Moulin that a Parliamentary Friendship Group with Switzerland has already been formed in the National Assembly, and that it is headed by a member of the opposition, which she considers a good indicator of intra-parliamentary cooperation in the current parliamentary legislature.

The meeting focused on deepening parliamentary cooperation, strengthening economic cooperation between Serbia and Switzerland, as well as cooperation in the field of education. The trade exchange between Serbia and Switzerland had reached a record value in 2023 and more than three thousand of our citizens work in Swiss companies in our country.

Brnabic said that Switzerland is an important partner for Serbia in the field of dual education, which is crucial for providing a competent workforce with clear educational profiles.
