Belgrade NATO Week Participants Visit National Assembly

The participants of Belgrade NATO Week visiting the National Assembly as part of the programme were addressed by MPs Dragan Sormaz, Vesna Marjanovic and Dragan Sutanovac.


MP Dragan Sormaz, Head of the National Assembly’s delegation to NATO PA, presented the activities of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to NATO PA to the participants of Belgrade NATO Week, as well as the National Assembly’s other diplomatic and legislative activities performed within the European integration process. Sormaz said that cooperation with NATO is very important for Serbia considering that every country’s security system is built concordant to its environment and geopolitical circumstances.
MPs Vesna Marjanovic, member of the National Assembly’s standing delegation to the Council of Europe PA, and Dragan Sutanovac, member of the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee, discussed Serbia’s relationship with NATO with the participants of Belgrade NATO Week and the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in the field of security.
Belgrade NATO Week, organised by the Centre for Euro-Atlantic Studies, aims to inform young members of political parties in Serbia about the functioning of NATO, the regional and global challenges the organisation comes up against, its relationship with other global organisations and the EU's common defence and security policy, through lectures, dialogue and visits to the institutions of the Republic of Serbia.
