Assembly Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic Opens Chalk Drawing from Imagination
Today at the National Assembly House, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Dr Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic, opened the traditional children’s event of Chalk Drawing from the Imagination. As the patron of this, eighth traditional manifestation, the Speaker greeted children from all over Serbia at the Great Hall of the National Assembly House, expressing her pleasure at seeing the National Assembly House open for children, particularly in October, the month when Children’s Week is commemorated.

Following the ceremonial programme, the participants of the event drew and wrote messages for the adults in multicoloured chalk on the plaza in front of the National Assembly House.
The event Chalk Drawing from the Imagination is part of Children’s Week, organised by Friends of the Children of Palilula, with the cooperation of Friends of the Children of Belgrade, lasting from 5 to 11 October and gathering pre-school, elementary and high school children from all over Serbia and the region every year.
