60th Sitting of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government

At the sitting held on 12 February, the members of the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government discussed, in detail, the Bill on remedying the consequences of seizure of assets of Holocaust victims with no living legal heirs, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Misdemeanours and the Bill amending the Law on Organisation of Courts, submitted by the Government.


The Committee and the Government accepted two of the 17 amendments submitted to the Bill on remedying the consequences of seizure of assets of Holocaust victims with no living legal heirs. The Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government submitted two amendments of its own to Article 21 and Article 23 of the Bill on remedying the consequences of seizure of assets of Holocaust victims with no living legal heirs.

The Committee members reviewed and decided not to accept the seven amendments the MPs had submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Misdemeanours.

The MPs had submitted four amendments to the Bill amending the Law on Organisation of Courts, but the Committee and the Government accepted none of them.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Petar Petrovic and attended by Committee members Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, Zivan Djurisic, Vuceta Toskovic, Velinka Tosic, Biljana Savovic, Zarko Micin, Mirjana Andric, Svetislav Vukmirica and Jovan Markovic.
