At the sitting held on 17 May, the Committee on the Judiciary, Public Administration and Local Self-Government considered the Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Code, Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Procedure Code, Bill on Prevention of Corruption, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Seizure and Confiscation of Proceeds from Crime and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Execution of Criminal Sanctions, in detail.
Of the 44 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Code, the Government and the Committee accepted one rejecting the other 43.
The Government and the Committee accepted none of the four amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Criminal Procedure Code.
Of the 90 amendments submitted to the Bill on Prevention of Corruption, the Government and the Committee accepted one rejecting the other 89.
The Government and the Committee accepted none of the two amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Seizure and Confiscation of Proceeds from Crime.
Of the 17 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Execution of Criminal Sanctions, the Government and the Committee accepted four rejecting the other 13.
The Committee members went on to formulate the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of presidents of courts of general and special jurisdiction in the Republic of Serbia.
It was noted that due to the expiration of term of office of court presidents in 114 courts of general and special jurisdiction in the Republic of Serbia, their posting was terminated and the Committee proposed that the National Assembly adopt the decision on the termination of office of said court presidents to enable the due election of new court presidents and unimpeded functioning of the judiciary system in the Republic of Serbia.
The Committee also formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of President of the Misdemeanour Court in Krusevac Marina Djordjevic, at personal request.
The Committee members formulated the Proposal of the Decision on the termination of office of President of the Basic Court in Pirot Ivan Nikolic due to his being elected judge of the Higher Court in Pirot.
