58th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 6 November, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the Ombudsman’s request to employ a new member of staff and for additional recruitment at the Ombudsman’s Support Service.

The request was elaborated by Deputy Ombudsperson Vladana Jovic saying this was the fifth request addressed to the Committee asking for consent to employ new staff and for additional recruitment at the Ombudsman’s Support Service, in view of the fact that the systematisation the Support Service operates under was passed in 2007.

The Ombudsman is asking for consent for the full-employment of one more member of staff and the recruitment of new personnel on temporary basis (six month contract) for 16 persons, due to increased work requirements.

Following a debate the Committee members unanimously consented to the Ombudsman’s request.

The Committee Chairman went on to inform the Committee members about the workshop on the MPs’ Code of Conduct, organised in co-operation with the OSCE Mission on 23 and 24 November, about which they will be duly informed.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Zoran Babic.
