53rd Sitting of the European Integration Committee
At the sitting held on 22 February, the European Integration Committee discussed, in principle, the Bill on Protection of Citizens Against Infectious Diseases and the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public-Private Partnership and Concessions.
Nada Milic of the Ministry of Health said that the Bill on Protection of Citizens Against Infectious Diseases needs to be passed because the previous one had been passed 10 years ago and its provisions need to be harmonised with EU directives. She said that the Bill has been harmonised with four European directives and has received a positive opinion from the European Commission on it harmonisation.
Following a brief discussion the Committee members accepted the Bill in principle, by majority vote.
The representative of the Ministry of Economy said that the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Public-Private Partnership and Concessions had received a positive opinion of the European Integration Office concerning its harmonisation with directives 23 and 24, and the full harmonisation of all the provisions will be completed by the end of 2017.
Following a discussion the Committee members accepted this Bill as well, in principle.
The sitting was attended by Committee members and deputy members Ljubisa Stojmirovic, Vera Paunovic, Vesna Markovic, Dragan Sormaz, Dusica Stojkovic, Gordana Comic, Elvira Kovacs, Katarina Susnjar and Irena Aleksic.
The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Aleksandar Senic.
