37th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 29 December 2017, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the resignation tendered to the post of MP by Dr Vesna Rakonjac. The Committee ascertained that the resignation tendered by MP Dr Vesna Rakonjac falls within the situation set out in article 88, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Law on Election of MPs according to which resignation is listed as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiry of the term they were elected for, thus proposing that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MP’s term of office.


The Committee members also reviewed and adopted the Decision on the base salary for the President of the Republic, the MPs and appointees in the President’s and National Assembly support service. The base set out in items 1 – 4 of the Decision will be used to calculate the abovementioned salaries starting from December 2017.

The Committee reviewed and gave a positive opinion to the requests submitted by Republic Electoral Commission member Miljkan Karlicic and National Assembly Deputy Secretary General Srdjan Smiljanic to assume another public office.

The Committee members went on to consider the notification submitted by the National Assembly Secretary General on the reprimand issued to MP Radoslav Milojicic to maintain order at the Third Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017 and decided that he should be fined 10% of an MP’s base salary – 6,829.78 RSD.

The Committee also considered the notification submitted by the National Assembly Speaker on the reprimand issued to MP Bosko Obradovic at the 36th sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues and ruled to fine him 10% of an MP’s base salary – 6,829.78 RSD.

The Committee members considered the notifications submitted by the National Assembly Secretary General on the reprimand issued to MPs Radoslav Milojicic and Balsa Bozovic at the Fifth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017 and ruled to fine them20% of an MP’s base salary i.e. 13,659.55 RSD each.

The Committee also considered the notification submitted by the National Assembly Secretary General on the reprimand issued to MP Marko Djurisic at the Fifth Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017 and ruled that he should be fined 20% of an MP’s base salary i.e. 13,659.55 RSD.

The Committee members went on to decide, by majority vote, to channel part of the funds from the National Assembly Solidarity Fund (402,956.08 RSD in total) to the Budgetary Fund for the treatment of illnesses, conditions and injuries that cannot be successfully treated in the Republic of Serbia – 201,478.04 RSD, and part to the Diocese of Raska-Prizren, Monastery Gracanica – 201,478.04 RSD, in aid of soup kitchens.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dr Ana Stevanovic, Dusica Stojkovic, Stefana Miladinovic, Branimir Jovanovic, Momo Colakovic, Petar Petrovic, Aleksandar Markovic, Dr Dragana Barisic, Dr Darko Laketic and Marko Zeljug.

The sitting was also attended by MPs Srdjan Nogo, Dr Vladimir Orlic, Bosko Obradovic and Marija Janjusevic.
