36th Sitting of the Culture and Information Committee

At the sitting held on 22 January, the members of the Culture and Information Committee considered the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Culture, submitted by the Government, in detail.

Of the 36 amendments submitted to the Bill amending and modifying the Law on Culture the Committee accepted one and submitted an amendment of its own.

The Committee members went on to consider the Bill on Archival Material and Archival Activity, submitted by the Government, in detail, and accepted two of the 32 amendments the MPs had submitted to it. The Committee also submitted an amendment of its own to the Bill.

As item three on its agenda the Committee ruled on launching the procedure for the nomination of candidates for the election of members of the Council of the Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media proposed by authorised nominators: competent committee of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and associations of electronic media publishers and associations of journalist in the Republic of Serbia.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Mirko Krlic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Haji Milorad Stosic, Mladen Lukic, MA Jadranka Jovanovic, Dragana Kostic, Prof. Dr Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic, Stanija Kompirovic, Natasa Mihailovic Vacic, Snezana Paunovic, Jasmina Obradovic and Djordje Vukadinovic.
