26th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 13 July 2017, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues reviewed the resignation tendered to the post of MP by Branko Ruzic. The Committee ascertained that the resignation tendered by MP Branko Ruzic falls within the situation set out in article 88, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Law on Election of MPs according to which resignation is listed as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiry of the term they were elected for, thus proposing that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MP’s term of office.


The Committee went on to consider and unanimously decide to forward to the National Assembly a Report stating that the death of MP Jovo Ostojic falls within the situation set out in article 88, paragraph 1 of the Law on Election of MPs according to which an MP’s term of office is terminated before the expiry of the term they were elected for upon their death, thus proposing that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MP’s term of office.

The Committee members then reviewed and gave a positive opinion to the request submitted by MP Prof. Dr Zoran Dragisic to simultaneously perform the duty of MP and member of the Council of the Medical Faculty of the Military Medical Academy.

The Committee proceeded to review the notifications submitted by the National Assembly Secretary General on the reprimands issued to maintain order at the Ninth Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017 and ruled to fine MP Bosko Obradovic for the two reprimands 20% of an MP’s base salary i.e. 13,659.55 RSD.

The Committee also reviewed the notifications submitted by the National Assembly Secretary General on the reprimands issued to MPs Srdjan Nogo and Milorad Mircic at the Ninth Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2017. Said MPs were issued one reprimand each i.e. they were fined 10% of an MP’s base salary - 6,829.78 RSD.

Finally, at the proposal of MP Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, the Committee members reviewed the Proposal of the Decision on remuneration for the President and members of the National Council for Culture and by majority vote adopted the Decision ascertaining the remuneration for the President and members of the National Council for Culture viz. monthly pay equal to an MP’s supplement plus additional 50% for the President and monthly pay equal to an MP’s supplement for a Council member.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Dr Aleksandar Martinovic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dusica Stojkovic, Branimir Jovanovic, Veroljub Matic, Momo Colakovic, Milorad Mircic, Petar Petrovic, Aleksandar Markovic, Goran Ciric, Dr Dragana Barisic, Jelena Mijatovic, MD-PhD Darko Laketic, Djordje Milicevic and Branka Stamenkovic.

The sitting was also attended by MP Srdjan Nogo.
