24th sitting of the Gender Equality Committee

At its twenty-fourth sitting, held on 13 April, the Gender Equality Committee discussed the second working draft of the proposed Gender Equality Act, which had been amended after suggestions made by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policyhad been taken into account.



At its twenty-fourth sitting, held on 13 April, the Gender Equality Committee discussed the second working draft of the proposed Gender Equality Act, which had been amended after suggestions made by the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Education and Sports, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policyhad been taken into account.

It was resolved to ask the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy to re-draft parts of the Act falling within its purview to harmonise them with existing labour legislation. The Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government was also asked to provide its opinion on the proposed Act.

The sitting was chaired by Zivodarka Dacin, vice-chairperson of the Committee.
