24th Sitting of the Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction
At the sitting held on 7 July 2015, the members of the Committee on Labour, Social Issues, Social Inclusion and Poverty Reduction reviewed civic petitions and proposals.
Since there were no objections in the discussion, the Committee members accepted the Working Group’s proposition how to process the petitions and proposals the Committee had received.
The Committee Chairperson then proceeded to inform the Committee members that she would soon be meeting with the representatives of the non-governmental sector to discuss the issue of migrants in Serbia and initiate a meeting with UNHCR representatives and request relevant information on the situation in the field, particularly in the border municipalities.
The Chairperson also suggested that the Committee should address the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs and ask for information on the effects of the implementation of the Labour Law, considering that it has been a year since it was passed.
The sitting was chaired by Vesna Rakonjac, Committee Chairperson.
