22nd Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 25 November 2024, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues noted the termination of the term of office of MP Dragan Markovic.

The Committee received the notification of the death of MP Dragan Markovic elected from the Electoral List IVICA DACIC – PRIME MINISTER OF SERBIA and ascertained that the situation falls under Article 131, paragraph 2, item 1 of the Law on Election of MPs which lists death as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office.

The MP’s term of office is terminated on the day the situation cited as the reason for the termination of the MP’s term of office, pursuant to Article 131, paragraph 3 of the Law on Election of MPs, so the Committee proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the MP’s term of office pursuant to Article 133 of said Law.

The vacant MP seat will be filled by the allocation of the term of office to another candidate in line with articles 134 and 1325 of the Law.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milenko Jovanov, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Olja Petrovic, Prof. Dr Miloljub Albijanic, Aleksandar Jugovic, Goran Milic, Stefan Kitanovic, Djordje Komlenski, Igor Jaksic, Dane Stanojcic, Branimir Jovanovic and Marko Milosevic.
