21st Sitting of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality
At the sitting held on 11 July, the members of the Committee on Human and Minority Rights and Gender Equality deliberated on the Bill on the Confirmation of the Amendment to Article 20 Paragraph 1 of the Convention to Eliminate All Forms of Discrimination against Women, submitted by the Government, and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
The Committee members adopted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Amendment to Article 20 Paragraph 1 of the Convention to Eliminate All Forms of Discrimination against Women, by a majority of votes.
In the continuation, State Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy Stana Bozovic, elaborated the Bill on the Confirmation of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence.
Following a short debate, the Committee members adopted the Bill on the Confirmation of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, by a majority of votes.
The sitting was chaired by the Committee Chairman, Meho Omerovic.
