20th Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 16 October 2023, the members of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee considered a number of bills and other act proposals.

The Committee accepted the proposal of Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic to complete a joint debate on items 1, 2 and 3, as well as on items 4 and 5 on the agenda.

The Republic of Serbia 2024 Budget Bill, Section 24 – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, was presented by Marija Filipovic of the Ministry of Finance Budget Sector and State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Milica Djurdjevic, as representatives of the submitters.

Following a lengthy discussion, the Committee members accepted, by majority vote, the Republic of Serbia 2024 Budget Bill, Section 24 – Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Bill amending and modifying the Law on Incentives in Agriculture and Rural Development, in principle, and the Bill on the Confirmation of the Amendments to the International Sugar Agreement.

The Committee went on to consider and accept, by majority vote, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Activity Information for the second quarter of 2023.

The Committee also considered the situation concerning infectious diseases, with a special focus on blackleg, and adopted a relevant Conclusion by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic, and attended by the following Subcommittee members and deputy members: MA Akos Ujhelyi, Miroslav Milojevic, Miomir Stojilkovic, Veroljub Matic, Marko Ristic, Djordjo Djordjic, Milija Miletic, Zoran Sandic, Dejan Ignjatovic, Miroslav Aleksic, Dijana Radovic, Milica Obradovic, Milovan Jakovljevic, Srdjan Milivojevic and Ilo Mihajlovski.
