19th Sitting of the European Integration Committee

At the sitting held on 16 June 2021, the European Integration Committee considered in principle the Bill on Determining the Agricultural Product Market, submitted by the Government.

The Bill was presented by Nenad Katanic, Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, who pointed out that it concerns the requirements and measures regulating the agricultural product market, trade with other countries and other issues important for regulating the agricultural market. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management recognised the importance of passing this law based on which different requirements and measures would regulate the agricultural product market and create conditions to activate the requirements and measures of market regulation, with the aim that, at the time of EU accession, the institutional framework necessary for the implementation of EU mechanisms related to the organisation of the agricultural product common market, is in place.

Following a discussion, the Committee members unanimously accepted the Bill in principle.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Elvira Kovacs, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Stefan Srbljanovic, Ljiljana Malusic, Dubravka Filipovski, Ana Miljanic, Stanislava Janosevic, Vesna Rankovic, Dijana Radovic, Ilija Matejic, Dr Muamer Bacevac, Predrag Rajic, Milan Radin, Ana Pesic and Dusica Stojkovic.
