19th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 18 January 2023, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues considered the notification of the PUPS – Solidarity and Justice Parliamentary Group concerning the termination of the term of office of MP Jelisaveta Veljkovic due to death.

The Committee ascertained that said situation falls under Article 131, paragraph 2, items 1 of the Law on Election of MPs which lists death as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office and proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the term of office of MP Jelisaveta Veljkovic, elected from the Electoral List “ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – Together We Can Do Anything”.

The Committee members went on to review and give a positive opinion to the request submitted by Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic, to assume another post.

The Committee also adopted the Decision on the base rate for the calculation and payment of the salary of the President of the Republic, MPs and appointed staff in the President’s and National Assembly Support Service

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milenko Jovanov, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Janko Veselinovic, Djordje Komlenski, Dr Dragana Rakic, Miroslav Aleksic, Ana Miljanovic, Dr Vesna Ivkovic, Andrijana Vasic, Bosko Obradovic, Aleksandar Markovic, Zoran Stojanovic, Veroljub Matic, Zivota Starcevic, Nikola Dragicevic and Dr Ugljesa Mrdic.
