18th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 1 February 2021, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues ruled on:

  1. Forwarding a Proposal that, pursuant to Article 167 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the National Assembly pass by urgent procedure the Proposal of an Authentic Interpretation of Article 64, paragraph 1 of the Law on Higher Education (“RS Official Gazette”, no. 88/17,73/18,27/18, 67/19 and 6/20), submitted by the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues, and

  2. Forwarding a Proposal that, pursuant to Article 167 of the National Assembly Rules of Procedure, the National Assembly pass by urgent procedure the Proposal of an Authentic Interpretation of Article 2, paragraph 1, item 3 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption (“RS Official Gazette”, no. 35/19 и 88/19), submitted by the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues.
The Committee members unanimously ruled to propose that the National Assembly consider the Proposal of an Authentic Interpretation of Article 64, paragraph 1 of the Law on Higher Education and the Proposal of an Authentic Interpretation of Article 2, paragraph 1, item 3 of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, by urgent procedure, finding the motion to be justified as it aimed to prevent adverse consequences caused by dilemmas in the implementation of said provisions.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nevena Veinovic, Zeljko Tomic, Vojislav Vujic, Vuk Mircetic, Milenko Jovanov, Luka Kebara, Ugljesa Mrdic, Violeta Ocokoljic, Dubravka Kralj, Borisav Kovacevic and Arpad Fremond.
