15th Sitting of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues

At the sitting held on 21 January 2021, the members of the Committee on Constitutional and Legislative Issues responded to the Constitutional Court regarding the proceedings launched to ascertain the unconstitutionality of the provision of Article 23 of the Law on Human Organ Transplantation, as follows: the Committee is of the opinion that there are no elements in violation of human rights and dignity in the provisions of Article 23 of the Law on Human Organ Transplantation.


The response states that said provisions are in full compliance with the Constitution, i.e. do not contravene the provisions of articles 23 and 25 of the Constitution in any way.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairperson Jelena Zaric Kovacevic and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Nevena Veinovic, Zarko Tomic, Olja Petrovic, Vuk Mircetic, Marko Mladenovic, Luka Kebara, Ugljesa Mrdic, Borisav Kovacevic, Dubravka Kralj, Toma Fila, Arpad Fremond and Ilija Matejic.
