15th Sitting of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Committee

At the sitting held on 13 June 2023, the members of the Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management considered the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Activity Information for the period from 1 January – 31 March 2023.

The Activity Information was presented by Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Tanaskovic who informed the Committee members about the current situation in agriculture, stressing that in the previous period an agreement on additional funds was signed with agricultural producers, and added that as of today, the Ministry of Agriculture 2023 budget is 113 billion RSD.

Following a debate, the Committee members adopted the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Activity Information for the period from 1 January – 31 March 2023.

The Committee members went on to discuss problems concerning raspberry farming in the pre-picking, storage and sale/purchase season. Representatives of the association of raspberry growers and a representative of raspberry buyers spoke on this topic.

The representatives of the association of raspberry growers briefed the Committee members on the problems they face in the process of picking, storing and sale of raspberries.

In the continuation of the session, the Committee discussed the situation leading to the upcoming harvest and the existing problems in the production of planting material in the Republic of Serbia.

Following a lengthy discussion, the Committee adopted relevant conclusions by majority vote.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Marijan Risticevic, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Dijana Radovic, Marko Ristic, Momir Stojilkovic, Milosav Milojevic, Milimir Vujadinovic, Dr Nenad Mitrovic, Branko Vukajlovic, Miroslav Aleksic, Milica Obradovic, Dr Anna Oreg, Ilo Mihajlovski and Dejan Ignjatovic.
