14th Sitting of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues

At the sitting held on 1 December 2022, the members of the Committee on Administrative, Budgetary, Mandate and Immunity Issues considered the Decree of the Republic Electoral Commission on the allocation of an MP’s term of office for the purpose of filling vacant seats at the National Assembly to Branislav Josifovic.

Having reviewed the Decree of the Republic Electoral Commission and certificates on the election of MP Branislav Josifovic, elected from the Electoral List ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – Together We Can Do Anything, and ascertained that the data on the election of the MP are identical to the ones in the Decree of the Republic Electoral Commission, the Committee proposed that the National Assembly verify the newly-elected MP’s term of office.

The Committee also reviewed the resignations tendered to the post of MP by Maja Macuzic Puzic, Sanja Maric and Ivana Popovic, ascertaining that this situation falls under Article 131, paragraph 1, item 6 of the Law on Election of MPs according to which resignation is listed as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiry of the term they were elected for, and proposed that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MPs’ terms of office.

The Committee went on to review and give a positive opinion to the request submitted by Minister of Health Danica Grujicic, to assume another post, that of Assistant Director of the Neurosurgery Clinic and vice dean for finances of the Faculty of Medicine.

The Committee also considered the notifications submitted by the National Assembly Secretary General on reprimands issued at the First Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2022 on 21 October 2022, Second Special Sitting of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in its 13th legislature on 25 October 2022 and the Second Sitting of the Second Regular Session of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia in 2022 on 8 November 2022.

The Committee decided to fine MPs Borislav Novakovic, Miroslav Aleksic, Zoran Lutovac, Srdjan Milivojevic and Stefan Jovanovic for the reprimands issued for the breach of order, 10% of an MP’s base salary – 9,310.58 RSD.

The Committee also decided to fine MP Dragana Rakic, for the denial of the floor, 40% of an MP’s base salary – 37,242.3 RSD.

The sitting was chaired by Committee Chairman Milenko Jovanov, and attended by the following Committee members and deputy members: Vojislav Vujic, Dr Ugljesa Mrdic, Janko Veselinovic, Djordje Komlenski, Radmila Vasic, Aleksandar Mirkovic, Dr Dragana Rakic, Miroslav Aleksic, Ana Miljanic, Aleksandar Markovic, Dunja Simonovic Bratic, Zoran Stojanovic, Veroljub Matic and Sandra Bozic.
