The Committee ascertained that the resignation tendered by MP Velimir Stanojevic, elected from the Electoral List ALEKSANDAR VUCIC – SERBIA IS WINNING, falls within the situation set out in article 88, paragraph 1, item 2 of the Law on Election of MPs according to which resignation is listed as a reason for the termination of an MP’s term of office before the expiry of the term they were elected for, and thus proposes that the National Assembly note the termination of the abovementioned MP’s term of office.

This enables the election of a new MP by allocation of a term of office to another candidate from the abovementioned Electoral List.

The Committee went on to give a positive opinion to MP Zoltan Pek’s request to assume another public office in addition to that of MP.
