13th, 14th and 15th Sitting of the Security Services Control Committee
At the 13th, 14th and 15th sitting, the Security Services Control Committee considered and adopted the security services’ regular activity reports: Security Information Agency, Military Security Agency and the Military Intelligence Agency.
The reports were found to be detailed, exemplary and provide a comprehensive insight into the work of the security services in the reporting period. Though operating under specific conditions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the security services had, in the reporting period, managed to realise all planned and extraordinary tasks and respond to security challenges.
The Committee praised the inter-agency cooperation, as well as the security services’ cooperation with other state bodies and foreign partner services. This cooperation contributes to the timely detection of security risks to the Republic of Serbia and the well-timed effective measures to eliminate them.
In the course of the discussion, the directors of the security services answered the Committee members’ questions about the considered reports and provided clarifications where needed. The Committee gave its full support to the security services to continue to efficiently perform the set tasks and protect the interests of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia within their competencies.
The sittings, closed to the public, were chaired by Committee Chairman MA Igor Becic.
